Iron Goddess of Mercy - one of the best known China Oolongs. Nice rolled leaf style, not too oxidized. The cup is a very pleasant mellow taste with a faint note of natural smokiness with a good finish without astringency. A good tea for any season, an all-day cup. Also sometimes spelled Ti Kuan Yin or Ti Guan Yin.

Love my afternoon tea buzz

The most relaxing time of the day with my wife is our afternoon tea. We take our time as while the tea cools it improves in both flavor, mouth feel, and of course the buzz. This is my only deliberate flirt with caffeine and everything else that is packed into this tea. We believe this time together, music, tea, and laughing improves all the rest of our life.

How wonderful! You describe the full experience of tea in detail and with love. It is no wonder they call Oolong 'liquid sunshine'.

Tea Education

No wonder they call Oolong the Philosopher's Drink. It is mellow, fragrant, long-lasting and mystical. One of the many Oolongs that get better as they cool. Make full use of this tea - one teaspoon goes a long way. It will withstand multiple infusions so save the infused leaves and add 20 seconds to each subsequent steep. There is a lingering sweetness when it cools. An excellent accompaniment to food, great with dessert and an all-day treat. Also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy.
