When I want a flavorful tea to pick me up in the morning or from my afternoon slump English Breakfast tea is my go to tea, strong with a dash of milk.
When I long for chocolate then drinking this chai is a great substitute.
Use 1 tsp. of leaf per 8 oz. cup.
Pour boiling water over leaves.
Steep 4-5 mins.
Milk may be added.
The original English Breakfast was a straight China Keemun. Nowadays, it is a house blend developed by each company to approximate a medium-strength black tea without too much astringency or bite. Almost all English Breakfast teas take well to milk and fit the need for consumers looking for a "regular tea". Some companies use India teas while others select China or Kenya teas. Ours uses Indian black tea.
