Coffee Fest 2014
We had a great time at Coffee Fest which was March 7 - 9, 2014 at Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. This is the perfect Show for us - focused, not too big, not too small with just the right variety and number of attendees. We've exhibited at the Fancy Food Show in years past which is 10 times the size of this Show and a crazy chaos of people with not enough time to talk to anyone and a complete hit-or-miss with attendees. At Coffee Fest, you know they're interested in Coffee and nowadays, if you're serving Coffee, it is more than likely, you're serving Tea.
We steeped Flowering Teas on all days with the runaway hit being our new Guava Flower. Although flowering teas aren't for everyone, it is the perfect conversation starter at a Show. Additionally, we brought samples of 3 dozen other teas as well as essential tea accessories and all of it allowed us to engage with potentially new customers.
We visited with old friends - customers and exhibitors - and discovered some new things - a Sweet Potato Cake, some interesting Beverage containers, Breakfast Cookies, a great Whipped Cream, ideas for service and a new product from our Sticky Toffee Pudding vendor - a delicious Molten Chocolate Lava pudding.

Meanwhile, we found ourselves on Mud Village's blog - we had a wonderful conversation with them at the Show and here's their recap of the meeting.
